What's in my notes app

Since I have no new contents or happenings to share, I will reveal some of what I put in my notes app. Most of what I write are lists of random things, but I will try to explain.

music and book vibes 

1. Never Let Me Go - Genesis by Grimes 

When I read Never Let Me Go, the vibes are totally Genesis by Grimes coded. I always think of the ending of the book, when Kathy thinks about Tommy and sobbing, and the background music is the intro of Genesis, starting with the low bass notes.

2. The Handmaid's Tale - Labor

I think this is self explanatory. This book makes my angry and afraid of men and society.

3. Strange Pictures - O Superman

The creepy vibes of the book really matches the song; "hello this is your mother" part of the song totally get the vibes of the book, especially after the plot twist was revealed.

kdramas that feel like a book

as a litfic lover, i like when characters have internal monologues of words of wisdom or simply telling what they feel. if they have a kdrama to book adaptation, i will definitely read.

translation: main characters are so angry at their lover who went abroad and not communicating with them, turns out, the said lover is DEAD.

Anxious People = Straw

If you haven't read Anxious People yet, please skip, this is a major spoiler.

similarity: woman nang bank robber/hostage dahil nasa desperate situation involved ang anak, hostages naawa sa story ng babaeng criminal (?) at kinampihan laban sa pulis; pulis not bad person and with POV

translation: a woman who robs a bank, fails, then take hostages because they're in a desperate situation involving their kid, hostages pitied the woman criminal (?) and took her side against the police; police not bad people and with their own POV

This 2025, I figured that I should have a new hobby, and that is: blogging. I don't know how, but I'll try. I also don't know how frequent I will "blog" but I'll try to write at least once a week, if not everyday. Nothing much happens

Nothing much happened today. I went to office, and on break time, after eating my lunch, I went to Fully Booked. I frequently go there whenever I go to work since it's a short walk from our office, but I have nothing to buy, so I just browse for books and complain at the prices. But I'm tempted to buy because the book covers are so pretty! Thankfully, I can stop myself because there are a lot of books sitting in my bookshelf, unread and collecting dust. I should finish reading those first. Also, I'm broke. After lunch, my coworker bought us Magnum, but since I went to Fully Booked and didn't come back straight away, they are worried that my ice cream has melted already, and jokingly that it has now became soup. But they are considerate and they put it in the freezer for me. Thankfully, it hasn't melted, and I enjoyed eating it. Fave movies

I like watching movies except slasher/horror/thriller films. I would only watch thriller or suspense if I'm with other people and they chose to watch the movie. I don't like bloods and ghosts. I would never suggest it whenever we are choosing what to watch, but it depends on the situation. Last year, we decided to watch MMFF on January 1. Back then, we haven't discovered yet that we can buy online tickets, so we stand in line for a long time because there's so many people! The film that we want to watch, which is  Firefly,  already started while we were on a long long queue, so I suggested that we should watch  Mallari instead. I never expected it to be ghosts/supernatural and I thought it would just be thriller and murders, so I didn't enjoy it that much. I don't like jumpscares. I can tolerate watching slasher films more -- I was able to finish  Pearl (2022)  last year when it was put on Netflix. What I wasn't able to do is to watch it in one go, of cours...
