February
So far, my February is eventful.
Baguio trip
I wore long sleeves shirt and a thick jacket, skirt and a thick stockings, and rubber shoes.
We arrived at Baguio at dawn, only my hands are cold because I wore warmly. The first destination is Lion's den. Then we went to strawberry farm and we had breakfast there. I ate longganisa, rice, and vegetable salad topped with strawberry jam. The lettuce tastes weird with strawberry jam since I haven't tried that before, but I finished my food nevertheless. We didn't pick strawberries in the farm since it was so expensive, we just admired the view and the flowers.
After that we went to Stone Kingdom, it was so tiring because of a lot of stairs. We took a lot of pictures up to the top, and admired the view.
Then we went to The Mansion and Wright Park. I love the view there, and the ambiance, it was so serene. Of course, we took a lot of pictures, we admired the nature and the fresh air.
Then we went to Botanical Garden. There are so many flowers! I love it but it was so tiring because at the time it's already noon and it was hot, and the place is wide, but we enjoyed it anyway. After that, we went to Mines View, we didn't stay there because there are so many people; we just took a picture and go. But outside, we bought Pasalubong.
We had our lunch at Lomi House, I ate tocilog (tocino, egg, rice) but I haven't finish the food because it was a lot. Then we rested at our transient house and I have a good nap.
In the evening, we went to dinner at Good Taste, then we went Burnham Park and stroll. I changed my clothes with short sleeves tshirt and curduroy cargo pants, but I wore the same jacket, and I wore a bucket hat. We enjoyed the cold air that we cannot experience in my hometown.
On our way back to the transient house, we rode Grab Taxi, but we got lost, so we went to 7-11 to get hot chocolates, and the tour coordinator pick us up to our transient house.
The next day, we went to Diplomat Hotel and Mirador. On this day, I wore fluffy white cardigan. It was so tiring in Mirador because it's like a labyrinth, we got lost a lot of times, but I have good pictures, so it's okay.
Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Baguio. We joined a tour so it's feels like we're on a field trip.
Valentines Day
On February 14, my boyfriend and I went to cafe near my house and we build flower lego. It was so hard because the bricks are so small. We just went back to my house to continue the building the bricks. It's a good way to test my patience. My boyfriend gave me two flower lego beforehand, we just want to experience building it together so we are building our third lego.
On February 15, we went to Ayala Malls Manila Bay. We ate black frozen yogurt, I forgot the name. It was so good! Then we went to a photobooth called Old Moon. Then we rode a bus to Gala Food Park, a Japanese food park. There are so many people and it was hot inside, and we are getting hangry. Then we ate ramen. We haven't enjoyed it as much as we expected. But we took good photos.
Up to now, it's February 27, I still haven't finish building my lego.
Now, for my Weekly REPORT
Reading
I finished reading Never Let Me Go. I haven't read the plot, and the synopsis in the back of the book is not that helpful in knowing the plot, so I have zero knowledge on what's it about.
Warning: Spoiler Ahead
So I was surprised when it is revealed that they are just clones, that they were not real people. They were just made to donate organs. I like how the story unfolds, and the characters as well. I cried in the end. Everytime a character dies in the book, I cry. But it's just so sad that they were made to die.
What I'm reading now is a Filipino book called Stray Cats. It's language is in English but there are words in Filipino. It's about a rich young girl who investigates the disappearance of her poor friend with a talking cat. I just started this book but I'm liking it so far. I bought it on Fully Booked last year on BGC while I'm in the office, since the office is walking distance from Fully Booked, and kept it in my locker.
Eating
I like the Spinach Pizza on Angel's Pizza, while its not my favorite because I don't like vegetables that much, I like the combination of the flavors.
Playing
I'm focusing on building my lego on my free time. I know it's going to be beautiful when finished. A lot of times I'm thinking of abandoning it because it breaks a lot, but I'm patiently building it again anyway.
Obsessing
Right now, I am liking the anime called My Happy Marriage! I watched it last year but I haven't finish the season 1, but now there is a season 2, I rewatched the season 1 up to the latest ep in S2. It makes me swoon so much. I'm giggling screaming kicking my feet! I haven't felt that way since watching Love Scout. I want to know what will happen to them, but they're just releasing one episode per week. But it's okay I can wait.
Another thing that I'm obsessing is the Ferrero Rocher. I can't stop eating. I ate a lot everyday, but it's not good for my health so I stopped. Also, my mother says I should let her have some.
Recommending
Aside from My Happy Marriage, I recommend Apothecary Diaries and Sakamoto Days for anime. For English animated series, I recommend Pantheon. I binge-watched the Season 1 in one day because it's so good.
For kdrama, I recommend Because This is My First Life. It aired on 2017, but good thing it's on Netflix so I have a chance to watch it. I just finished it and it was soooo good. It has no major plots but it's more on character development. I'll add it to Kdramas That Feels Like a Book list.
Treating
I like to treat my eyes better by reducing screentime. So far I don't think it's working because of Tiktok. But I'm trying, by reading a book and building lego. I even deactivated my social media account. The final boss is just Tiktok.
That's it for today. Thank you for reading!
Regards,
Pauline
